Our New Program Year for 2026

OUR PROGRAM YEAR FOR 2026 - 2027 Has Begun!

Starting August 1st, be sure to renew your existing membership or click on the "Join Us" tab above for new members and enjoy another exciting year of interesting and informative events.

Our Program Committee has been hard at work securing another great year of expert speakers to share their expertise and insights on today's important topics.  Some events and details are still being developed, but a partial schedule is listed below:

    • Sept 9, Dr. Dave Schroeder, Director of National Security Initiatives at UW-Madison, will speak on AI and its relation to American National Security.
    • Oct 20, Elizabeth Richard, former US Ambassador to Lebanon and Assistant Secretary of State for Counterterrorism, will speak on the Geopolitics of the Middle East in the Wake of the Iran War.
    • Nov 18, Dr. Julie Klinger, IES Institute of Environmental Studies at UW-Madison, will speak on the Geopolitical Issues of Rare Earth Metals.
    • Winter Social, tentatively planned for Dec 2 in collaboration with the Madison International Trade Association.
    • Feb 16, Dr. Mark Copelovitch, Professor of Political Science at UW-Madison, will speak on Recent Changes in the Global World Economy and the Geopolitical Ramifications.
    • Mar 17, Ms. Lila Abed, head of the US - Mexico think tank Internatiobal Dialogue in Washington, DC, will speak on the state of current relations between the US and Mexico.
    • Apr or May, an event TBD in collaboration with the UW International Division
